The South Indian film industry has been rocked by a fresh controversy as a popular television actress has leveled serious allegations against a key associate of superstar Dhanush. Manya Anand, a well-known face in Tamil television, has publicly accused Dhanush’s manager, Shreyas, of sexual harassment and attempting to subject her to the “casting couch.” This revelation has sparked significant discussion across social media and entertainment circles.
The incident reportedly came to light during an interview with the media portal Cineulagam, where Manya Anand opened up about her unsettling experience. According to the actress, the ordeal began when Shreyas approached her regarding a potential role in a new film. However, the professional conversation quickly took an unethical turn when he allegedly suggested a “commitment” in exchange for the opportunity.
Manya Anand stated that she immediately confronted the manager about his intentions. She recounted asking him directly what he meant by “commitment” and firmly questioned why she should agree to such demands. She made it clear that she would not accept any unethical conditions to secure work. The actress claims that despite her outright refusal, Shreyas persisted and tried to leverage the superstar’s name to pressure her further.
In her shocking claim, Manya alleged that after she rejected his advances, Shreyas asked, “Even if Dhanush sir is there, won’t you agree?” implying that the presence or involvement of a big star should compel her to compromise. This statement has drawn particular attention, as it suggests an attempt to misuse the actor’s reputation to exploit aspiring talent. As of now, there has been no official response from Dhanush or his team regarding these serious allegations.
