Director Anurag Kashyap recently shed light on the core plot of the film, revealing that the story is inspired by a real-life newspaper article handed to him by producer Nikhil Dwivedi. The narrative delves into the dark realities of the legal system, revolving around a woman who misused the law by filing cases across eight different police stations in connivance with lawyers and cops. Kashyap shared that ‘Bandar’ will explore the blurred lines between right and wrong, challenging the audience’s moral compass. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi firmly believes that this powerful subject has the perfect potential to bridge the gap between commercial blockbusters and offbeat, content-driven cinema.
However, the theatrical release of ‘Bandar’ will not be a solo run. The film is gearing up for a massive box-office clash with Milap Zaveri’s ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’, which stars Aman Indra Kumar, Akanksha Sharma, and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, there is another major update for the die-hard fans of the Deol family. Sunny Deol’s highly anticipated action-drama ‘Gabru’, which was initially scheduled for a March 13 release, has now been pushed to May 8, 2026. Though the makers are yet to drop an official confirmation, it seems like the summer of 2026 is going to be an absolute treat for the fans of the Deol brothers.
