Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has built a reputation not only for his acting talent, but also for his gracious and witty nature when engaging with the public. However, even the King of Bollywood faces negative commentary on social media from time to time.
Recently, some netizens took to Twitter to criticize the promotional strategy for Khan’s upcoming film Dunki. A few tweets claimed his PR team was running an inauthentic paid campaign to boost positive sentiments about the Dunki trailer. One tweet even alleged his manager was threatening journalists over negative Dunki reviews.
Rather than ignoring the criticism per his usual approach, Khan decided to respond with characteristic humor and grace during a recent #AskSRK fan Q&A session. When one user tweeted accusing his “highly effective PR team” of fabricating hits for his “tatti (crappy) movies,” Khan replied:
#ShahRukhKhan’s Manager #PoojaDadlani blackmailing Youtubers & Media houses not to Upload Negative Reviews of #Dunki. She is giving full on “ Dhamkiyaan ” to journalists! Gunda Gardi at it’s peak by her. Shame on #SRK PR agencies.

“Normally I don’t answer amazingly intelligent people like you. But in your case I am making an exception because I feel you need to be treated for constipation. Will tell my PR team to send you some golden medicines…hope u recover soon.”
While making light of the insulting tweet, Khan also subtly reiterated his faith in his team’s promotional capabilities. However, he drew the line at personal attacks by telling the commenter to seek medical attention.
Due to your highly effective and efficient PR team last two tatti movies of your became a blockbuster.. do you still hv faith in ur PR and marketing team that #Dhunki will also bcm a hit and will be a another golden tatti from #Bollywood #AskSrk 😬😬😬 pic.twitter.com/it0szLv6kB

Khan’s graceful clapback serves as a masterclass in engaging criticism without stooping to the level of online trolls. As Dunki’s release nears, he will likely need to ignore or rise above further negative rhetoric from those aiming to ruffle the unflappable superstar.
