When asked by Karan Johar about Rishi Kapoor’s last days, Neetu Kapoor, who shared the Koffee couch with actress Zeenat Aman, referred to it as the ‘best days of her relationship’, despite some ‘sad days’.
Neetu Kapoor expressed, “I prefer to remember the good part of our relationship and our time in New York, rather than the sad part. Despite the sadness, we had the best year because Rishi Kapoor was a very loving person. I always still say it in the present tense. He had a lot of love in him.”
She continued, “He never showed his love, always kept his distance. He was a big thing…Respect and…He comes from that family. With that, he lost out on a lot with his children. The relationship with his children. Because he lost on those years. He was never a friend to them.”
“But that year, he opened up. He showed love. And towards me also, he was so lovely. We had the best time. I mean we had really, really sad moments. When he was neutropenic, and red cells and everything used to go down during the chemo days. We were really really down. But when he was okay, when he was absolutely fine – when the blood levels used to come up, we used to party, we used to go for lunches, movies, shopping,” she added.
