According to media reports, it was decided to release this film on OTT next year, but in view of the failure of the film, the makers decided to stream it early. After waiting for 2 months, the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha signed this deal with Netflix. According to the news, the reason behind the delay in the deal has been the demand of Aamir Khan. Actually, Aamir Khan was demanding 150 crores to release this film on OTT, but Netflix was trying to make a deal for less than 80 to 90 crores.
Talking about the box office collection of Lal Singh Chaddha, Lal Singh Chaddha, made at a cost of Rs 180 crore, did not even collect Rs 100 crore. The film was reduced to just around Rs 75 crores. Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan, also stars Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
