Movie Plot
Jhund is a sports movie which tells you a lot about the game of life. This film is so close to reality that you will also get to know a truth of the society through it. The film is based on the real life character Vijay Burse, who has founded a football association for the betterment of slum children. The film begins with the struggle of children living in a slum in Nagpur, whose lives revolve around criminal activities. Like real life, these kids have no goals. All of them are drug addicts, smoke ganja, alcohol-gambling is a daily work, pulling pranks in free time, snatching mobile and running away, getting into a moving goods train and taking out coal etc. is included in their daily routine. In such a situation, one day, sports coach Vijay Borde (Amitabh Bachchan) enters the lives of these children. Vijay Borde, through his faith, change the lives of these slum children. That not only makes them a good person, but also makes them a good football player.
Acting
Amitabh Bachchan is in the main role of the film, i.e. Vijay Barse, who has done full justice to the character. Seeing the film, it seems that he has lived this character. Many scenes of the film will remind you of Shahrukh Khan’s film Chak De India. At the same time, Big B’s long monologue will win your heart in the climax of the film. Talking about the direction of the film, Nagraj Manjule has given his trademark touch in this film like his Marathi films. Music
Aaya Ye Jhund Hai, Lafda Jhala Both these songs can stay in your mind even after watching the film. Ajay Atul has done a good job. The rest of the songs can be considered average.
Drawbacks
Although there is no such shortcoming in the film that you will be disappointed later, but yes the length of the film can disappoint you. Some scenes in the film have been dragged unnecessarily. Also, more work could have been done on the climax. The songs of the rest of the film are also nothing special.
Watch or not
The story of the film, the visual treat and the excellent performance of the star cast keep you hooked. The direction of the film is also superb. The film can be seen once.
