Social media singing sensation Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s hit song “Bado Badi” has been taken down from YouTube due to copyright infringement.
The song, a remake of the classic “Akh Lari Bado Badi,” originally sung by legendary singer Noor Jahan, garnered a massive 28 million views in a short span. It wasn’t just popular in Pakistan; the catchy tune had Indian social media buzzing with users, including celebrities, creating reels (short videos) featuring the song.
However, “Bado Badi”‘s meteoric rise was cut short due to copyright issues. Reports suggest YouTube removed the song because Chahat allegedly did not have permission to remake and upload it on his channel.
Illegally Uploading Leads to Removal
Chahat released “Bado Badi” last month, following the success of several of his previous songs. Unfortunately, his decision to remake “Akh Lari Bado Badi” without proper licensing resulted in the video’s removal.
Chahat’s Other Projects
Despite this setback, Chahat remains active in the music industry. He’s currently working on a remake of another iconic song, “Jai Tu Akhian De Samnay Nai Rehna,” originally sung by the legendary Qawwali singer Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Additionally, Chahat is gearing up for his film debut, expected to release on Eid-ul-Adha, which falls on June 17th this year.
