After the post production of stalled films of Bollywood started, the rest of the film production activities in Mumbai are also gaining momentum. Alternative preparations have begun for shooting serials in Kolhapur outside Mumbai. Shooting has started at Kamalistan Studio located in one of Mumbai’s safer areas.
On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar also started finalizing the screenplay for his next film. According to the information, Akshay Kumar conducted a script session of his next film Bell Bottom at 6 am on Tuesday. Apart from Vashu Bhagnani, the producer of the film, the rest of the team of the film also participated in it.
Akshay started shooting an advertisement film in Mumbai on Monday and gave the message to the industry that along with Corona, the industry will have to move forward and resume shooting of films with utmost care while minimizing the possibility of its transition. Bell Bottom was announced in November last year and Akshay then clarified that it is not a remake of any film.
A large section of the Hindi film and TV industry wants to resume shooting of films and serials, but so far no decision has been made by the unions of producers and directors with workers’ unions. All filmmakers now want to shoot their films outside Mumbai in less crowded areas of Maharashtra and other states of the country. The two films of Yudley Films of Saregama Company are ready to go on floors immediately.
Meanwhile, some producers who have been shooting in Mumbai have also discussed the idea of reviving Kolhapur Film City with the state government. Kolhapur is in a much better position in terms of corona infection. TV serial makers have also inspected the pre-made sets in Kolhapur and the surrounding condition. It is expected that shooting will start here next month as well.
