Due to a controversial video, Bigg Boss ex contestant and actress Payal Rohatgi has been sent to judicial custody for eight days. Payal was produced in the ACJM court on Monday. Payal’s bail application will now be presented on Tuesday. She was arrested by the Rajasthan Police last day. Information about the arrest of the actress was given on Payal’s Twitter handle. Payal wrote in the tweet- ‘I have been arrested by Rajasthan Police for sharing a video on Motilal Nehru. I made that video with information from Google. The freedom to speak is a joke ‘. In this tweet, she tagged the official Twitter account of Rajasthan Police, PMO, Home Ministry.
Payal shared a controversial video on her Twitter account sometime back. In which Payal commented on Motilal Nehru and his wife, the father of the freedom fighter and the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. With this, Payal made objectionable statements linking Motilal’s marriage with the issue of triple talaq. After which she was arrested by the police. Earlier, Mumbai Police had blocked Payal’s account on such activities.
Sometime back, complaint against Payal Rohatgi was lodged by Youth Congress leader Charmesh Sharma. Serious allegations were also made against the actress in this complaint. Payal was booked under sections 66 and 67 of the IT Act.
Payal Rohtagi appeared as a contestant in season 8 of Bigg Boss. Payal has not acted in any film since 2012. Not only this, Payal has acted in only 20 films in her 10-year career.
