Dhamaka Movie Review: After doing many successful romantic comedies, Bollywood actor Karthik Aryan has come among the audience in a new role. Kartik Aaryan’s film Dhamaka has been released on Netflix on 19 November. The film was announced last year on Kartik Aaryan’s birthday. The film is directed by Ram Madhvani, who has made films like Neerja with Sonam Kapoor. Karthik Aryan has appeared in this film in a character that has never been seen before.
Kartik Aaryan plays a journalist in the film who covers a terrorist attack in Mumbai. Kartik Aaryan was very excited to play the role of a journalist on screen. Dhamaka is said to be an action crime thriller based on the Korean film The Terror Live (2013). Journalist-turned-journalist Kartik Aaryan receives a dreaded call from Raghubir Mahata, a terrorist, during the show before the bombing of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Arjun laughs at this call to the extent of Pathak’s senses when a part of the Sea Link explodes behind him.
Terrorist calls back in 15 minutes. Kartik Aaryan is an aspiring journalist and he does not miss the opportunity to interview this terrorist. In return for this exclusive, he asks for the seat back of the prime time anchor. On the pretext of this interview, he gets back the prime time seat. During the interview, the terrorist says call up Minister Jaidev Patil, if he doesn’t come, everyone will be killed.
Just then he sees his wife, Soumya Mehra, who is reporting from the blast site on the Sea Link. Terrorists know this. Knowing this, Arjun’s senses fly away. The terrorist wants to make the minister apologize but the minister does not come and after that he threatens that if the apology is not given, everyone will die. Explosion upon blast. The newsroom is devastated. The corpses fall and in the end all is over.
The film stars Amrita Subhash, Vikas Kumar and Vishwajeet Pradhan. Mrunal is going to be seen in the role of Karthik’s wife in the film. The shooting of the film has been done in Mumbai itself. Karthik Aryan fits nice in the role of a journalist, Mrinal is also perfect in the role of a press reporter. The love scenes between the two are also beautifully shot. Overall, Dhamaka is a one-time watch which neither disappoints nor generates much anticipation.
