Today is Abhishek Bachchan’s birthday, having done films like Guru, Refugee, Yuva. Abhishek, who was nominated as the Best Debut Actor for his debut film Refugee, has acted in dozens of films in his 20-year career. But he never got success like his father Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek has always been trolled for his flop career but over time Abhishek has also given a befitting reply. Abhishek is believed to be a family man, Abhishek got engaged to Karisma Kapoor before marrying Aishwarya Rai. But this relationship broke up. Abhishek later marries Aishwarya.
Abhishek and Aishwarya first met in 2000 when he was shooting for the film ‘Dhai Akshar Prem Ke’. After this both of them became friends. During this, Aishwarya and Salman’s love story was in discussion. But after some time this relationship broke up. In an interview to TOI, Aishwarya Rai first revealed that she and Salman had breakup.
Aishwarya had said, ‘Salman and I had a breakup in March but they were not ready to accept this. When we had a breakup, he called me and told me very bad things. After the breakup with Salman, her name started joining with Vivek Oberoi. A few days later, Aishwarya also broke up with Vivek and Abhishek Bachchan came into Aishwarya’s life.
During the shooting of the film ‘Umrao Jaan’ released in 2006, both of them fell in love. In an interview, Aishwarya had said that when Abhishek Bachchan proposed to her, it was a beautiful thing but it happened in a hurry. We were promoting Guru at the Toronto Film Festival at the time.
The evening of 20 April 2007, the two were married at the Bachchan family residence ‘Pratiksha’. At the time of marriage, Aishwarya Rai was 33 years old while Abhishek was 31 years old. Today both are parents of 7 year old daughter Aaradhya. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have worked in films like Raavan, Kuch Na Kaho and Guru. The last time the two were seen together in Mani Ratnam’s film Raavan.
