Varun Badola, a noted TV and Hindi film actor who played the former captain of the Indian cricket team in Mohammad Azharuddin’s biopic ‘Azhar’, says he can do Kapil Dev’s bowling action better than Ranveer Singh in director Kabir Khan’s upcoming film ’83’.
Veteran actor Varun Badola has proved his acting in many television shows and films. Currently he is seen playing an interesting role with Shweta Tiwari in a TV show ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’. Recently, talking to the media, Varun said, ‘Since childhood, my bowling style has been like Kapil Dev. Even in a friendly match in Mumbai, S Sreesanth specifically told me that my way of bowling is exactly like Kapil Paji.
Varun recounts his preparations during the film ‘Azhar’, saying, ‘For the film’ Azhar ‘, the producers called me a few days before the shoot, so I had no time at all to prepare. But, no matter how good or bad I look on the screen, I definitely knew that even if someone asked me to bowl like Kapil Dev at 4 in the morning, I can still do it.
When asked about Ranveer Singh’s look for the film ’83’, Varun says, ‘He has done a fantastic job with the look! It is yet to be seen how he works on-screen, but there is one thing, for which I can also bet that he cannot do Kapil Paji’s bowling action the way I can’
