When Rajshree Productions was run by director Sooraj Barjatya, he gave Hindi cinema a new formula to remake the old film Nadia Ka Paar from his production house. . The film became Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and it created a new history of success. Remakes and reboots differ. Remakes such as Lal Singh Chadha of Forest Gump. Reboots such as Nadiya Ke Paar’s Hum Hum Aapke Hain Koun. So Imtiaz Ali, the master of love, has rebooted his film Love Aaj Kal released 11 years ago, without changing the name.
Apparently when the name is the same, people will compare Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Giselli Monteiro’s 2009 Love Today with Sarah Ali Khan, Aarushi Sharma and Karthik Aryan’s 2020 Love Aaj Kal. Imtiaz wants this too. Sara and Karthik’s love story has been heard so much that an entire generation is eager to see both of them together onscreen. Aarushi Sharma is surprise together. In the trailer, she looks like Giselli Monteiro.
The story is the same. Love stories moving in two different periods. Two different heroines. Just Hero One, with different looks in both love stories. Imtiaz’s film trailers often don’t reveal much about the film, Imtiaz’s films open layer by layer in theaters. As far as the trailer is concerned, Imtiaz has done his job. The rest of the work of the film’s distributors and marketing circles is how much they can tell the audience about the film, which has a pair of Karthik and Sara, how far they can reach their anecdote.
In the trailer, Karthik Aryan has caught his speed from where he stayed in the film Pati Patni Aur Woh. He is a spontaneous actor. His real artistry is to bring emotion to the face according to the story. Sara Ali Khan is looking fantastic in the trailer. Exact attitude like her mother Amrita Singh. Aarushi did not get a chance to show much more in the trailer, but she is very cute in school dress. Irshad Kamil’s lyrics and Pritam’s music adorns the best jugalbandi in Imtiaz’s films, which is also the case set here.
