The year 2019 is mixed for ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Whereas Kapil’s show on one hand has received good response in case of TRP. On the other hand, the show has also been in controversy due to different reasons. Even after the end of the year, the show is again in the news for negative reasons. In fact, a case has been registered for hurting religious sentiments against Bharti Singh, who forced the audience to laugh with her performance in the show. After which the demand for Bharti to be removed from the show has increased.
Bharti along with actress Raveena Tandon and choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan have been reported by the Punjab Police for hurting the sentiments of a community in the show aired on Christmas Eve. The complaint alleges that the trio (Bharati, Raveena, Farah) have hurt the religious sentiments of the Christian people.
Since the complaint was filed, a petition to expel Bharati from the show has become increasingly viral on social media. About seven thousand people have signed it so far. Seeing the controversy escalating, Farah Khan tweeted on Friday, ‘I respect all religions, n it would never be my intention 2disrespect any.On behalf of the entire team, Raveena Tandon, Bharti Singh and Myself.. we do sincerely apologise.’

Raveena Tandon also tweeted, ‘I haven’t said a word that can be interpreted as an insult to any religion. The three of us (Farah Khan, Bharti Singh and I) never intended to offend anyone, but in case we did, my most sincere apologies to those who were hurt.’

Significantly, this is not the first time that an actor associated with Kapil’s show has come into controversy. Earlier, the makers had to show their way out of the show due to their statement to Navjot Singh Sidhu.
