In the dynamic world of Bollywood, actress Taapsee Pannu has made a significant mark, especially after her recent collaboration with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Known for her varied roles and impressive performances, Taapsee’s career trajectory has taken a sharp upward turn. Following her appearance in the film “Dunki” with Shah Rukh Khan last year, Taapsee’s demand in the Hindi cinema industry has skyrocketed. Reports indicate that where she previously charged around 4 to 5 crores per film, she is now commanding fees in the range of 12 to 15 crores.
Moreover, Taapsee Pannu has ventured into production with her first film “Dhak Dhak” last year. She is now determined to be a producer in all her upcoming projects, aiming to secure a share of the profits if the films succeed. This strategic move has led her to be more selective with her projects, focusing on films where she receives equal importance as the male lead and a share in the profits.
Taapsee’s next film is set to release directly on OTT platforms. This film, titled “Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba,” is a sequel to her popular movie “Haseen Dilruba.” Her co-star, Vikrant Massey, has also seen success with his film “12th Fail.” Since the release of “Haseen Dilruba” in 2021, Taapsee has worked on nine films, including one Tamil and one Telugu film, with the majority being Hindi films. Despite mixed box office results, her determination remains strong.
This year, Taapsee is also set to release a film with Akshay Kumar titled “Khel Khel Mein.” While the film is ready for release, the fate of its release date is uncertain due to Akshay’s previous film “Sarphira” underperforming at the box office. Another project, “Woh Ladki Hai Kahan,” featuring Pratik Gandhi and Prateik Babbar, directed by Arshad Syed, is also complete but lacks a confirmed release date.
Taapsee Pannu began her acting career with the Telugu film “Jumandi Nadam” in 2010. Her entry into Hindi cinema came in 2013 with the release of “Chashme Baddoor.” Since then, she has been actively involved in the industry, often choosing films that parallel cinema. Her notable commercial successes include “Baby” and “Pink.” Despite inquiries, her team has not disclosed her current fee structure.
