In the eagerly awaited film directed by Siddharth Anand, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, titled “Fighter,” fans are eagerly anticipating its release. The trailer of the film had already generated significant enthusiasm among the audience. As the release date approaches, fans, along with the stars, are getting more excited. Additionally, new information related to the duration of the film has surfaced, and it has successfully obtained certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The CBFC has given the green signal to “Fighter,” certifying it with a ‘UA’ rating and a runtime of 2 hours and 46 minutes. According to the certificate, the film revolves around counter-terrorism activities surrounding the control line. In response, the Indian Air Force headquarters has established a special unit named “Air Dragons” at the airbase in Srinagar. Equipped with Sukhoi 30 combat jets and ALH helicopters, Air Dragons is a specialized unit featuring the best combat aviators of the Indian Air Force.
Himesh Mankad, revealing details on an exclusive interview, stated, “‘Fighter’ has been certified with a runtime of 166 minutes by the CBFC. Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’ has been certified with a runtime of 2 hours and 46 minutes by the CBFC.” The film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, is scheduled to be released on January 25, 2024.
‘Fighter’ marks the first on-screen collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Hrithik Roshan plays the role of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathaniya, aka Pati, while Deepika Padukone portrays Squadron Leader Meenal Rathore, aka Minnie. Besides these two superstars, the film also features Anil Kapoor in a significant role, playing the character of Group Captain Rakesh Jay Singh, aka Rocky. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, ‘Fighter’ is the debut film of producer-duo Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand. Siddharth Anand has previously directed successful action films like ‘War’ and ‘Pathan.’
In addition to Hrithik, Anil, and Deepika, the film boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjida Sheikh, Talat Aziz, and others. The musical duo Vishal-Shekhar is composing songs and the original score for the film. This high-flying action film is set to hit theaters on January 25, 2024.
