Tripti Dimri, the rising star of Indian cinema, has sparked conversation with her bold performance in the recently released film “Animal.” While her steamy scenes with Ranbir Kapoor have garnered social media attention, it’s her parents’ reaction to these scenes that’s truly captivating.
In a recent interview, Tripti revealed that her parents were initially taken aback by the intimate scenes. “They said, ‘We haven’t seen anything like this in a movie you’ve done,’ and it took them some time to process it,” she shared.
Despite their initial discomfort, Tripti’s parents remained supportive. “They were very sweet to me though. They said, ‘You shouldn’t have done that… but it’s okay, as parents, we will always feel this way.'”
Tripti understands her parents’ perspective, acknowledging that such scenes can understandably make parents uncomfortable. However, she stands firm in her artistic choices. “It’s my job, and as long as I am comfortable and safe, I don’t see any problem in that,” she asserted.
Moreover, she believes that playing such scenes authentically is part of her duty as an actor. “As an actor, you have to be completely honest with the character you are portraying,” she explained.
Tripti’s performance in “Animal” has sparked a renewed interest in her previous works, such as “Qala” and “Bulbbul.” As she continues to navigate the complexities of the film industry, her dedication to her craft and her openness to challenging roles are sure to solidify her place as a leading talent in Indian cinema.
