Tiger Shroff’s film ‘Heropanti 2’ is in bad shape in North India. And, theatres are scared to tell even the initial figures about Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Runway 34’.
‘Heropanti 2’ after ‘Bachchan Pandey’
This time, Eid seems to be very heavy for Hindi cinema. After producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’, the second successive film ‘Heropanti 2’ is not showing charisma at the box office. The trailer of the film has received a lot of criticism in the Hindi film industry. The songs of the film were also not liked by the people. People watching the trailer of the film say that Tiger Shroff has nothing left to show. Their songs and action scenes have also started appearing alike. He does stunt copying of Hollywood movies, he himself has admitted this and due to this his brand value is also going down continuously among the youth who have already seen Hollywood movies.
According to the data received till Wednesday afternoon of advance booking of the film ‘Heropanti 2’, the film is barely able to reach Rs 50 lakh even after putting all the emphasis on it. In the National Capital Region of Delhi, even six per cent of the total available seats do not seem to be sold. Yes, this film of Tiger Shroff is making a lot of attraction in Gujarat. In Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Gandhinagar, ‘Heropanti’ is seen selling 15 to 27 per cent seats. In Nashik, Maharashtra, these sales are reaching 56 percent, but the number of theaters there is very limited. ‘Heropanti 2’ is not showing much effect even among the audience of Mumbai. Till Wednesday morning, about 17 percent of the seats were booked in advance.
Advance booking of ‘Acharya’
The weekend, which stretches ahead after Sunday on the Eid holidays, seems to be helping Telugu film ‘Acharya’ a lot. Out of 19 Indian films releasing this Thursday and Friday, advance booking of this film is seen in crores. As of Wednesday morning, the advance booking of this film of stars like Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, Anushka Shetty has crossed Rs 2.30 crore. Advance booking of the film is expected to increase further. Ram Charan’s earlier released film ‘RRR’ has also been a super hit and this film also seems to be getting a good opening at the box office.
Eyes on ‘Chandramukhi’ too
Apart from ‘Heropanti 2’ and ‘Runway 34’ in Hindi, Liam Neeson’s film ‘Memory’ is also releasing in English this week. Punjabi cinema has high hopes from late actor Deep Sidhu’s last film ‘Sade Aale’. Ram Charan’s film ‘Acharya’ has already taken the lead in Telugu. A total of five films are releasing in Telugu this week. Two films in Tamil will also release this week. Amrita Khanvilkar and Adinath Kothare’s famous film ‘Chandramukhi’ is going to be released in Marathi cinema this week. All eyes of Malayalam cinema lovers are on Prithviraj Sukumaran’s film ‘Jana Gana Mana’ releasing this week.
