Old statements of Bollywood celebs many a time put them in awkward positions later on. Something similar has happened with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the daughter-in-law of the Bachchan family. A small clip of her old interview surfaced on social media recently, in which she is saying that Karan Johar supported Alia Bhatt from the beginning and good things always came her way. However, along with this Aishwarya also said that Alia is doing a good job and I admire her acting.
Regarding this video on social media, some users said that I became a fan of Aishwarya due to the dignified manner in which she spoke about nepotism. On the other hand, some also said that Aishwarya Rai is jealous of Alia’s success. One has written that it is not necessary that everyone does good work after getting good opportunities, like Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan who got many great opportunities but could not become a star even after 20 years.

The video is said to be a part of the interview given for the promotion of Aishwarya’s film ‘Fanney Khan’. In the clip, Aishwarya is seen saying, “I have also told her (Alia) that it is very good for you. The kind of support Karan has given to Alia from the beginning and there is an establishment with him, which is very reassuring.” It didn’t bother her and she worked very well in her comfort zone. It’s good that you know you have a lot of opportunities.” Along with this, Aishwarya praised Alia’s work and said, “The good thing is that good opportunities are regularly falling in her lap and she is also doing a good job.”
After this video went viral, Aishwarya has come under target of Alia’s fans. A user commented that your husband also gets the best opportunities, but you also know what is her status in the industry today. Another user wrote, “It’s like when you point a finger at someone ignoring their talent and hard work, three fingers are pointing at you.
