The Bollywood film Pathaan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, has made history by becoming the first-ever original Hindi language film (excluding Chinese dub) to join the 1000 crore club. When considering all languages, the film is the fifth entrant in this elite club. Below is everything you need to know.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action-packed film had an incredible start, becoming the first Hindi film to earn 100 crores on its opening day. Within the first six days, it had already crossed the 600 crore mark, and as anticipated, it took an additional 21 days to reach 1000 crores. Nevertheless, it remains one of the fastest Indian films to achieve this milestone.
According to the official update, Pathaan crossed the 1000 crore mark yesterday, with a total worldwide gross collection of exactly 1000 crores after 27 days. This makes the action-packed film led by Shah Rukh Khan the second Bollywood film to join the 1000 crore club, following Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which had an exceptional response in China.
With Pathaan now in the fifth position, let’s take a look at the Indian films that have achieved the 1000 crore milestone globally so far:
- Dangal (2016) – 1970 crores gross
- Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) – 1800 crores gross
- KGF Chapter 2 (2022) – 1230 crores gross
- RRR (2022) – 1206 crores gross
- Pathaan (2023) – 1000 crores gross
Meanwhile, Pathaan has grossed 623 crores in India and 377 crores overseas.
