Akshay Kumar has maintained a special brand in Hindi cinema. On the one hand, he makes a name for himself by doing films promoting Indianness and on the other hand he makes money by doing films based on bizarre stories like Housefull 4. In the history of cinema, his name will be recorded as the highest earning hero or as a patriotic hero, he will decide Akshay Kumar himself but the news of his working in Dhoom 4 on the day of release of Housefull 4, from which Yash Raj Films took off air, it has affected their branding very poorly. And, one such bad film is Houseful Four.

The story of the film Housefull 4 begins in London where Harry, Max and Roy (Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Ritesh Deshmukh) have to pay some of Don’s money. To overcome this trouble, they implicate Kirti, Neha and Pooja (Kriti Senon, Kriti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde), who belong to the three rich families, and start preparing to get married. All come to Sitamgarh in India to get married. Coming to Sitamgarh, all memories of Harry’s previous birth are refreshed. He comes to know that he was a prince 600 years ago, whose name is Bala and this is the reincarnation of not only him but all other people as well.

Nitesh Kumar may have made the film Chhichhore but Akshay Kumar is seen in Housefull 4 as the real Chhichhore. He tries to make the audience laugh by making special verbal gestures with clichéd jokes and random dialogues. And, at times, he looks bad on screen. The performances of Bobby Deol and Ritesh Deshmukh are mediocre and Kriti Kharbanda, Pooja Hegde has got nothing more to do than simply show the frame beautiful in the film. Johnny Lever definitely leaves his mark in the role of Rangeela. The specialty of the film is that Nawazuddin Siddiqui gets more applause than Akshay Kumar.

Farhad Samji has directed the film. Originally a writer, but in Housefull 4, he also had to hire an army of writers. He must develop an understanding of direction now. He does not stay in the tradition of healthy comedy films of Hindi cinema nor does he try to do anything like that.

The film Housefull 4 is technically a weak film. The cinematography used to show the year 1419 is very average. The film has neither left its mark in its music nor special effects. Movie Housefull 4 gets two stars in movie review.
